U.S. Economy Staged for a Downturn…

…are economists finally recognizing that mass immigration is unsustainable?

On February 10th, Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen testified before Congress that she is aware of “several risks to U.S. economic growth” – which she sees as “warning signs.” Once again, it seems Americans are being fed the same old tired lie: anything inhibiting the growth of our economy is a threat to our very survival..
…and to challenge that logic is downright un-American.
Yet much to NPG’s pleasant surprise, it seems a number of established economists are beginning to see reality – and embrace the truth that
NPG has been sharing for decades.

Bloomberg View columnist Mark Buchanan came out strong on the subject, authoring a recent article titled: “Economics Might Be Very Wrong About Growth.” Buchanan begins: “Has the world entered a period in which economies simply won’t grow at the rate they once did? Radical as the thought may seem, it might not be radical enough.” The article explains that a new theory of economics is emerging – in which economists and governments around the world are having to seriously challenge the “unquestioned assumption of exponential growth.”
Echoing NPG, Buchanan concludes: “a slowing trend could actually be good news… Due to explosive growth, it will soon take nearly two planet Earths to support the world population sustainably at average resource-consumption levels.”
“We don’t actually have two Earths, so growth should probably slow.”
But NPG works to do far more than “probably slow” the problem.
YOU CAN HELP us REVERSE U.S. population growth!
Chief economics commentator Martin Wolf recently wrote an article for the Financial Times – a piece which went even further than Buchanan’s. Wolf’s article tied mass immigration levels to the rising class inequality of recent decades. Wolf notes that the “divergence between the success of the economic elite and the relative lack of success of the rest has been particularly striking in the U.S.”
Wolf then shocked many in the economics world when he proposed what NPG sees as a true solution: “First, of all aspects of globalization, mass immigration is the most disruptive. Movement across borders needs to be brought under control.” Wolf then goes on to make a statement that NPG completely supports:
“The presence of 11 [million] undocumented immigrants in the U.S. should never have been permitted.”
Won’t you stand beside NPG as we fight against mass immigration?
NPG has long decried the lie that America’s very survival depends on perpetual exponential growth – growth in people OR growth in dollars. Infinite growth is simply unsustainable on a finite planet – and we’ve been sharing that message for over 40 years!
We are pleased to see the mass media finally sharing the truth with the public – particularly when it is coming from economists, many of whom have long touted the promise of infinite growth.
And the timing couldn’t be better…

NPG’s newest Forum paper, titled The Negative Economic Impact of Immigration on American Workers, will be released next month to the public.  As one of NPG’s special online members, your EXCLUSIVE sneak preview of the paper will arrive to you in the weeks ahead – so be on the lookout!

In the new publication, author Edwin S. Rubenstein draws on his lengthy professional experience as a financial analyst and economics journalist to analyze the true economic impact of our nation’s present immigration system. Filled with shocking statistics, the new NPG Forum paper demonstrates the true price being paid by American families for today’s out-of-control immigration numbers.

NPG continues to publish and distribute fact-filled Forum papers and powerful Press Releases to our full membership, the U.S. Congress, key contacts within the national media, and other interested organizations. We will continue our work to raise public awareness – we must ACT NOW to slow, halt, and eventually reverse U.S. population growth!

Thank you again for your

continued support of NPG!

There is no remedy that can possibly avert disastrous Climate Change and Global Warming unless we first address the problem of world population size and growth, and its impact on the size of the greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming. That means that we need to address the population size and growth of each nation, which together make up the world total.

World population, now over 7.3 billion, is predicted to rise to 9 billion by 2050, an increase of almost two billion, or 23%, in the short space of only 34 years from now.In the highly unlikely event that per capita greenhouse gas emissions could possibly be decreased by an equal percentage in such a short space of time (a blink of an eye) the total amount of worldwide emission would remain the same!

From this simple illustration it would appear that without drastically reducing the size of world population, there is no solution to the problem.None at all.So then why do our world leaders pretend that there is one? What is to be gained by pretending rather than by proposing a solution that would solve the problem – a reduction in the size of world population to not more than 1- 2 billion?
